About Us

OVERVIEW

Sea-Dar Real Estate specializes in luxury residential condominium development in Boston. Since undertaking our first project in 1991, SDRE has been managing challenging and complex urban projects with a commitment to quality and innovation.

Our goal is to profitably improve targeted properties by drawing on our expertise in market analysis, due diligence, permitting, financial modeling, debt and equity contract negotiations, development oversight, property management, dispositions, and construction management.

Our experience has helped us develop a keen understanding of the unique demands associated with the development of luxury residential projects located in tight settings and occupied environments, and we have implemented the practices necessary to minimize the impact of construction on the surrounding community. We truly recognize the challenges of urban projects and know how to work in harmony with our neighbors.

Leadership

Jean Abouhamad is the Founder & President of Sea-Dar Enterprises. Sea-Dar began as both a Development and Construction Management firm.  Over the years both businesses have grown and have evolved into two separate entities: Sea-Dar Real Estate and Sea-Dar Construction. Our Development experience has been predominantly in the luxury condominium market, while our construction experience is broader and includes historic building renovation, luxury residential construction, new building construction, tenant interiors, and institutional renovations in Boston, the suburbs, Cape Cod, and New York.

Jean has a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Cornell University and an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Columbia University. He holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts and is a Licensed Construction Supervisor in Massachusetts. Boston Business Journal named him to their “40 Under 40: Boston’s best and Brightest Leaders” in 2001. Before starting Sea-Dar, Jean spent 5 years at Structural Engineering firm Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, Inc., where he managed various structural design and repair projects across the US.
